Hayden Valley, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
The beautiful Hayden Valley runs north-south between the northern end of Yellowtone Lake and southern end of the Canyon area. The valley's rolling meadows are an important winter range for bison and elk, and a year-round haven for bison, elk, deer, moose, and predators such as grizzly bears and coyotes.
The Yellostone River meanders through Hayden Valley. Marshy areas formed from glacial kettles provide sanctuary for sheltering moose and mirgatory waterfowl.
Bison near the roadside are often a cause for traffic jams during the busy summer season.
Bison ON THE ROAD are definitely a source of traffic jams.
